| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Blue Skies is the 2nd LP by the Ataris recorded for Kung Fu Records. Produced by Lagwagon frontman Joey Cape, this release catapulted the band to the top of the pop punk heap in the late 90s and remains to this day their finest work.

Perfect Blend of Melody and Punk Structure June 11, 2008 Corey Turner (Florida) The Ataris are a great punkish band, a band that has albums listen able all the way through. The songs aren't so closely band in similarities as one would think judging by the punk coined term.
The songs are overall quite enjoyable, the variety is actually rather good for a pop punkish album. The lyrics truly deliver, they confront the high school dilemmas and girl issues many endure over their struggling teen years. The songs remain on the short punk timing roughly the 2-3 minute durations. With fourteen songs total, one really can't complain. "My Hotel Year" seems similar to a singer songwriter hitting up pop punk for a go around.
I really enjoy the album, high replay value. After a year of owning it I still occasionally listen to it.
Keep driving February 24, 2007 Alex Scorpio ...through the Ataris catalog. This their first professionally recorded opus; chock full of amusing and well played songs. It might not be your thing, but how can you not like it?
What? Pt. 2 December 11, 2005 Equa_olien 4 out of 39 found this review helpful
I didn't listen to this because I'm too young to die. I heard some Ataris music a while ago and I was in the hospital for 3 weeks with a broken eardrum. The doctor said something about the lack of talent and/or the lack of good music in general. So I'm playing it safe and letting you try it out.

BUY EVERY ALBUM THESE GUYS MADE/YOU WILL MOST LIKELY NOT BE LET DOWN IF YOUR INTO THIS TYPE OF MUSIC.I DONT KNOW HOW ITS POSSIBLE TO BE SO HAPPY YET SO SAD AFTER HEARING ONE OF THEIR ALBUMS.
In my opinion their best work July 2, 2005 The Ricker (Oakland, CA. United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is their best album after this they started getting extremely emo and lost a lot of the energy that this album has. you can hear the angst in his voice when he sings SDHS football rules. They put out ok music now but its far removed from their best.
