Product Description After releasing a string of singles, EPs, live material and a covers LP in the wake of their Grammy-nominated masterpiece Zenith, The Jigsaw Seen bring to the table their most ambitious effort yet, Bananas Foster. This new batch of delicacies is now being served for your listening pleasure! Whether it's piano on Crazy Legs, harmonium on You Look Like A Lot Of People, mandolin on Fruitbasket Upset, trumpet on Cave Canem or a dazzling array of Mellotron and Chamberlin sounds, the musical ingredients of Bananas Foster are always perfectly suited to the unique flavor of the song. Lick your lips as the frothy opening analog synth notes of Bertha Brilliance rapidly give way to more bombastic seasonings. Laced with cryptic references to the Bee Gees, a three part vocal harmony and a driving horn section, it's all blended together vigorously until the song is mercilessly pounded into sweet submission. Along the sonic journey, you'll have the good fortune of sampling a Christian Science puppet show with David Hart's Name Of Song; a baroque ode to depression, Melancholy Morning; and the scorching Stooges style riffage of Where the Action Isn't. For a palette cleanser, enjoy the faux TV show theme, Tonight's Episode, as it sets up the Rhythm Ace propelled epic, Choreography Killed the Cat. Listen as the slide guitars join the smorgasbord of sound, eventually doing battle with military snares and leviathan lead guitars, to finally bring the whole mix to a ferocious boil. The cherry finale of Jubilee is a Victorian concoction reconstructed for modern musical tastes. The Jigsaw Seen's Jonathan Lea, influenced by the LP sleeves for The Velvet Underground & Nico and The White Album, created an extravagant package for Bananas Foster which includes a removable Chiquita style sticker, Bananas Foster recipe card, pop art mini poster and banana-scented sheet.
